Revamp brings together the people who own, rent, build and love caravans, motorhomes and campervans, and the campsites that welcome them. We set honest standards, connect the community and make travelling by caravan safe, easy and rewarding for everyone.
Formal name: Recreational Vehicle Association Malaysia (Johor)
Who we are
We are an association of caravan owners and enthusiasts, campsite and vehicle operators, tourism professionals and volunteers. We began in Johor, where the sea, rivers, forests and hills make some of the best caravan country in Malaysia, and we are building a home for caravan culture that grows from Johor to the whole of Malaysia.
Our values
What we stand for, on the road and off it.
01
Safety and responsibility
Safe vehicles, safe sites and safe travellers come first. We promote clear standards and responsible driving, parking and camping.
02
Community and friendship
Caravanning is better together. We welcome beginners and veterans, families and groups, and look out for each other on the road.
03
Respect for nature and local culture
We leave sites cleaner than we found them and support the communities, heritage and traditions of the places we visit.
04
Integrity and transparency
Fair rules, open decisions and honest listings. Members and guests should always know who they are dealing with.
05
Quality and hospitality
Warm service, well-kept campsites and well-prepared vehicles make a trip memorable.
06
Innovation
We use technology to make membership, bookings and records simple and trustworthy, and welcome new ideas for how people travel and stay outdoors.
What we do
The work of the association, in six parts.
Membership and identity
Register members and their vehicles, issue digital membership cards and keep a trusted register of owners, hosts and operators.
Standards and approval
Review campsites and rental vehicles before they are listed, so guests can book with confidence.
Campsites and rentals
A marketplace where hosts list campsites and vehicles and guests book them, with clear prices and house rules in three languages.
Community and knowledge
News, guides and events for caravan and camping lovers, shared in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.
Workshop and technical support
Building a network of workshops and technical help so owners can keep their caravans safe and roadworthy.
Partnerships
Working with tourism bodies, local authorities and businesses to open more places and routes to caravan travel.
What drives us
A love of the open road and the outdoors.
The belief that caravan tourism can bring visitors, jobs and pride to local communities.
The conviction that clear, fair standards make the whole community stronger.
Our ultimate goals
Where we want caravan and camping in Malaysia to be.
1
A trusted, nationwide standard for caravan and camping in Malaysia, starting with Johor.
2
Safe, welcoming campsites and well-maintained rental vehicles that visitors can book with confidence.
3
A thriving caravan tourism sector that benefits local communities and businesses.
4
A connected community of owners, enthusiasts and operators who share knowledge and look after each other.
5
Sustainable outdoor travel that protects Malaysia's nature and heritage for the next generation.
Our ultimate goal: to make Malaysia a destination of choice for caravan travel in the region.
